Our Team:

Responsible for medical activities that Medial Team is responsible for and support team members’ development and pushing the envelopes. Also, as a playing manager, s/he is responsible for planning and executing medical activities (e.g., evidence generations, publications, medical claim creations, new product development and Health Authorities’ correspondences) and make sure timely and effective execution aligned to medical strategy that contributes to business. S/he contributes to trade associations to shape the OTC and healthcare environment.

Main responsibilities:

Team management and people development

  • Create accountability. Hold herself/himself and her/his team responsible for performance.

  • Inspire others. Encourage others through positivity, vision, confidence, challenges and recognition.

Lead Medical Strategy

  • Drives creative ideas and lead to propose and create his / her responsible medical parts in Integrated Business and Brand Plan (IBBP) and execute as a representative leader in Medical
  • Actively engage local thought leaders in two-way scientific communication around new product developments / correspondences with Health Authorities, and post-marketing studies (both non-clinical and clinical)
  • Provide medical and technical input into medically accurate development of Brand promotional materials (e.g. medical claims) in close align with Marketing / Commercial
  • Work with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to facilitate the creation of medical strategies about products to answer medical requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Leverage (unmet) medical needs in order to support lifecycle opportunities based on consumers’ needs on a rolling basis through the development cycle

Lead Post-Marketing Surveillance (PMS)

  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to help develop, secure approval for and implement an independent post-marketing surveillance that have the potential to support products or that is required by the regulation

Lead Medical Communication / Publication and Exchange

  • Lead Publication strategy planning and its execution. Lead activities related article publications, presentations at congresses and symposia
  • Establish and maintain contact with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) with high level scientific and business communication skills
  • Organize and chair as a leader for Medical Advisory Boards
  • Develop and leverage medical/scientific insights through attendance at scientific meetings to further develop own knowledge base in line with business and medical strategy
  • Support Healthcare Professional engagement (HCPE) in Commercial

About you

Experience:

  • Relevant experiences in R&D and /or Medical in pharmaceutical companies
  • Prior experience of a people manager
  • Prior experience of clinical trials and / or PMS management and understanding of GCP
  • Prior experience in a global company setting (preferred)

  • Enhance digitalization
  • Other skills - Approachability, interpersonal savvy

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree, Pharm D, PhD or equivalent preferred) in Pharmacy, Chemistry or Life Sciences

Languages:

  • The ideal candidate for this position must be fluent in both English and Japanese, as they will be required to communicate effectively in a business setting in Japan and with regional stakeholders and participate in global business interactions.
