Medical-Lead, Patient Affair & Diagnostics-Shanghai

Key Accountabilities:

Leadership

  • Drive best-in-class patient experience and Sanofi Diagnostics ambition, foster Sanofi unique value proposition to ecosystem key stakeholders to build rapport and win-win partnership.
  • Prioritize unmet need identification of partnership, diagnostics, service and access, to meet Sanofi overall business strategic ambitions.
  • Ensure BU/TA stakeholder understanding of the patient affair & diagnostics initiatives.
  • Collaborate transversally to achieve scientific leadership, impact to patients and explore the patient insight generation support.
  • Stay agile for innovation and digitalization.
  • Ready to be people manager.

Partnership

  • Execution of Patient Affair & Diagnostics business development strategy plans and processes.
  • Identify and evaluate new partners. Lead the partner collaboration proposal, contracts development and negotiation processes. Establish and manage win-win partnerships while always maintaining our compliance standards.
  • Build Sanofi China SC Patient Affair & Diagnostics ecosystem.
  • Monitor the industry landscape and expand relationship for new partnership setup.

Diagnostics, Service and Access

  • Evaluate Sanofi value adding in each strategic imperative in responsible TAs.
  • Evaluate and identify Sanofi SC current and future business opportunities in Diagnostics(incl. but not limiting to screening, testing, monitoring), Service and Access. Identify the patient pain points, formulate the integrated and innovative proposal to leadership and obtain the endorsement. Develop patient affair & Diagnostics initiatives.
  • Provide pre- and/or post- product access to patients upon requests while strictly following Sanofi internal SOPs, incl. MAP, PRIL, Humanitarian related.
  • Explore the synergy across Patient Affair & Diagnostics scope, esp. between Diagnostics and Service.

Execution excellence

  • Establish clear metrics to measure the success of operational initiatives. Accountable for initiative delivery to reach the KPI setting with compliance.
  • Regularly report on these operational initiatives to key stakeholders
  • Initiative continuous improvement activities to make our operations more streamlined, effective and efficient.
  • Ensure all team members are clear on their accountabilities & set up to succeed on delivery.

Other special requirements for this role is defined based on business and team priorities.

Education:

Master or other advanced healthcare degrees are preferred. Background in clinical and basic medical is a clear plus.

Experience & knowledge:

  • 6+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, diagnostics and device industry.

  • Previous experience in strategic consulting, investment, business development, marketing and sales can be extremely beneficial.

  • Clear track of BD experience is preferred. Deep knowledge and strong network in IVD segment are highly appreciated, esp. gene diagnostics, biomarker identification and enzyme diagnostics.

  • Experienced with managing internal and external partners.

  • Project management/project planning experience on large, complex projects.
