Our team:

Reporting to the Head of Behavioral Science, the Behavioral Science Manager will work closely with key scientific teams across Sanofi Consumer Healthcare to design and execute primary research using behavioral science principles and capabilities. This individual will collaborate with teams to actualize behavioural concepts and foster a passion for using behavioural science to enhance our products.

Main responsibilities:

  • You will conduct primary research using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. These include in-depth interviews, virtual ethnographies, diary studies, surveys, and the use of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs).

  • You will ensure that the right behavioural questions are being asked and that study protocols are developed to address key behavioural needs effectively.

  • You will have the opportunity to apply relevant frameworks and identify potential improvements to influence appropriate behaviours with our products, benefiting the programs.

  • You will ensure that the studies are designed and documented in a way that is meaningful to external audiences, including regulatory bodies.

  • You will work closely with RWE Engagement Leads to incorporate a behavioural perspective into the design of RWE studies.

  • You will collaborate with other internal functions within the CHC Science organization to maximize the value of evidence.

  • You will leverage partnerships with behavioural science experts and external vendors to adopt innovative methodologies into evidence generation strategies.

  • You will collaborate with selected vendors to develop and execute study methodologies that address key consumer/patient behaviour questions.

  • You will interpret research findings to provide recommendations that enable project teams to take action based on results.

  • You will identify and address key gaps in the implementation of behavioural science to improve the process going forward.

  • You will manage and progress operational components of studies to ensure compliance and maintain timelines.

About you

  • You hold a scientific degree, preferably in the social sciences, coupled with related experience in the relevant behavioral science/human decision-making field.

  • You have experience in scientific methodologies relevant to behavioral science. This includes patient journey studies, ethnographies, observational studies, usage studies, consumer preference studies, and multi-criteria decision analysis studies.

  • You have experience in consumer healthcare, FMCG, or similar organizations, and demonstrate a passion for amplifying the patient/consumer voice in evidence-generation activities.

  • You possess over 5 years of experience in applying a diverse range of methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods.

  • You have a comprehensive understanding of the applicability and context of each study, recognizing their inherent strengths and weaknesses.

  • You have the ability to work autonomously in a team environment, communicate effectively, and act as an internal expert for behavioral science-related topics.

  • You possess strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity down to what matters to stakeholders, convey insights, recommendations, and progress updates, and adapt your communication to address the right topics and adapt content/level of details to the right recipients.

  • You are able to respond quickly and effectively when faced with decisions, think creatively when faced with novel problems, and anticipate and handle issues properly and with autonomy.
